Got a chance to get a clear shot of the DHC-5 ‘Buffalo’. What’s interesting (’rumors, rumors’!), the ‘Viking’ of Victoria, a company that is about to begin production of the renewed ‘de Havilland Canada’ aircraft, is said to be having included Buffalo in its ‘remake list’.
If so, we’ll surely be seeing them around for a while, and not only in aviation museums.
It seems, that idea of renewing old desings, and building technologically enhanced remakes is picking up, - even showing a sort of trend lately. ‘de Havilland Canada’, Grumman, Dornier.. We’ll try to keep watching all developments in this area.
