Simulator Training in Flight College

Another photograph from the ‘Valentin’s depository, ‘AVLUGA file’. It shows a ’sim bay’ at our college in Aktybinsk. These flight training devices had neither ‘motion capability’, nor any kind of visual system to simulate the effects of flight, and the elements of environment, but they did fairly good job when we used them during an introductory training course.
I remember we had virtually ‘unlimited access’ to them (sure, they were ‘totally free’, as was everything in the college), so, if you’d like, you’d be able to visit the bay for infinite number of times, and polish up your ‘flying skills’ to near excellence. But perhaps, you first rather get bored
I was as delighted as I was amused, after I found this stuff from ‘bygone era’ in the Valentin’s archive; and now, that I have just accomplished a regular LOFT training session, - which was, of course, on the 737NG ‘Level D’ FFS, - added more peculiarity to this piece of memoir,
You won’t be able to forget those first ones.
