Guest Experience

Enjoying a day in Banff. He’s got a chance to compare Rockies with Alps. We’ve got a guest, a young Russian pilot who came to visit us on his vacation. It seems Alexey enjoys exploring our country, and sure enough - takes lots of pictures ‘for the record’ :) Yes, he happened to be a photography enthusiast as well. Day before yesterday we went to the Banff national park, and it was obvious - the tranquilly of ‘winter Rockies’ in Banff and Lake Louis left him profoundly impressed.

He’s never been across Atlantic, so, he was keen on taking up a chance to run through ‘mountain photography drill’ in Rockies. At home (he lives in Moscow) there’s no mountains around,  but Alexey can see them once in a while - and do some photographing - when he is on the road, flying to Europe.

Enjoying a gorgeous day in Alps Judging this picture, I should say he looks to me as a person who’s already realized what a great bonus is incorporated into a list of specifics about our profession :) Isn’t that awesome: to get away in a quick jet hop from gray and dusk - that is the Moscow city in the yearly spring - to joyful and sunny valleys of Austria!?

Approaching Insbruk is mostly associated with dodging around mountain’s peaks Beautiful ‘Alpine’ landscape. Insbruk

We are planning tons of activity around here, - hopefully, some of it will make a point for Alexey that Rockies in Canada aren’t too bad at all - compared to Alps :)

Well, you two certainly experienced a unique weather event here in Victoria! I’m sorry you had to leave early, but the odds of getting a flight back are much greater in Vancouver.

Hope you both enjoyed your West Coast experience.

Actually, it was a sensible contrast in weather conditions between ‘Day 1′, and ‘Day 2′ of our stay in Victoria, B.C.
The first one was quite opposite to the second. But the pictures of Harbour Air’s and WestCoast’s Twin-Otters, Beavers and turbo-Otters had been already done, their exteriors - and even an interior of one of them (!), - before that weather collapse started. I guess you’ll see the stuff in one of the very next Serge’s articles.

All things planed, especially those relating to a Vancouver part of our voyage, were carried out ‘in full’, so were the activities considered for Victoria, - apart from visiting an old castle somewhere next to center of the city. But I’m surely looking forward to visiting it in future. I suppose it wasn’t the last trip with Sergey that we made…
