Just got an e-mail from another ‘correspondents’ in Russia. Dima, a guy I’ve been intermittently corresponding with for the last two years, wrote on some achievements he accomplished lately going on the road of ‘career flying’ - a walk of life he began not too long prior to the time we met on the Internet. Right now he’s undergoing a transition course for the Tupolev-154 type rating, and says chances are he might just ’seamlessly’ transfer to another training class - of English, and International flying regulations. We’ve got a guest, a young Russian pilot who came to visit us on his vacation. It seems Alexey enjoys exploring our country, and sure enough - takes lots of pictures ‘for the record’
Yes, he happened to be a photography enthusiast as well. Day before yesterday we went to the Banff national park, and it was obvious - the tranquilly of ‘winter Rockies’ in Banff and Lake Louis left him profoundly impressed. Read the rest of this entry »

Calgary airport is a sort of place where an ‘aviation aficionado’ - like one that is usually called a ’spotter’ - can expect any kind of surprise. Yet something inside of me resists to accept the fact ‘you are just one of them’. On the other hand, - and I should sincerely confess - I can’t withstand a temptation to stop by, and make a quick shot of ‘that interesting something’ the Calgary airport environment may dish out on you the other day.
