At Oshkosh. Flying on vintage planes Love the look of those vintage trainers from 30s.. Again, browsing through a behemoth image collection taken at the last year’s trip to Oshkosh, I found a few pics deserving to ‘talk about’.

What type it was? Seen in Oshkosh, on the last year’s ‘AirVenture’.

Attracted my attention because of a painting job on the rudder. Surprisingly - most Yakovlev’s trainers had the same ’strip pattern’ on their tails. Like this Ut-2, at the ‘Vadim Zadorozhny Museum’

Yakovlev’s Ut-2 at the ‘Vadim Zadorozhny Museum’ Moreover, - I can see further similarities between these two, - both are low-wing  monoplane two-seaters, with open cockpits, and radial engines..

Ut-2 trainer plane by A.S. Yakovlev Red strips on the tail.. Hmm.. Isn’t it an international sign of  ‘rookie pilot under controls here‘?:)
