‘Russian’ artificial horizon. AGD-1 Follow-up to a previous post:  just found a source where they give a reference pointing at some ‘differences’ in ‘Russian’ and ‘Western’ design of attitude indicators (artificial horizons).

“The background display is coloured as in a Western instrument, but moves up and down only to indicate pitch. A symbol representing the aircraft (which is fixed in a Western instrument) rolls left or right to indicate roll angle“.
