Be-200 sets off for flying Be-200ChS is getting its ‘feet wet’ rolling down the sloped ramp at the Beriev test base, which is a venue site for the Gelendjik ‘Hydro Aviation Salon’. It is a 2006 picture, but we are looking forward to seeing images from this year’s airshow at the Black Sea.

As I look at this picture, I can’t help but keep generating in my mind a thousand questions regarding operation of this plane. A ‘Fly-by-wire’-controlled amphibian with turbofan engines.. Hopefully, all those humble connections I’ve recently got in the Beriev are still ‘valid’ :)
