‘Facts-Finding Mission’ to Seattle and the area.

Made in Canada, owned by the Horison Air of the US, these CRJ-700s serve the Seattle-Calgary route along with their ‘turboprop compatriots’ (Dash-8-400Q) also manufactured by Bombardier. Having passed a boarding for a Horizon Air flight #2536 uneventfully, we were on our way back to Calgary after 5-day trip to Seattle and a few places around.

I called this trip a ‘fact-finding mission’, - sure it was, in some sense. But first of all, I should mention one fact that doesn’t even need to be proven by going anywhere:

Victoria put a trip to the Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park as she worked on our tour itinerary. She’s exceptionaly good at planning things when there’s lots of variables affecting your plans and ways of action. my wife Victoria is an outstanding manager when it comes to planning some ‘customized stuff’. Well, I should say ‘She’s an outstanding manager for planning and executing any kind of stuff’ :)

So, when an idea of such a trip came first to my mind, and we started talking about it, I just gave her an outlook of what kind of things I would like to see,

We found Seattle City Passes to be pretty useful in this trip she added some stuff to the list she considered it would be interesting to have a look at, and - drafted a plan.

The plan has turned to be ‘pretty darn good’.

First, we’ve been to the ‘Museum of Flight‘, - to which we went right on after arrival to Seattle

The absolutely amazing Museum of Flight ‘Museum of Flight’ exposition includes this Lockheed M-21 Blackbird.

‘Museum of Flight’ is located at the ‘Boeing Field

Leaving Seattle we flew over the ‘Boeing Field’. (Boeing Field flashed for a split second beneath as our flight back to Calgary was climbing out on the departure from SeaTac ’s RW 34R)

Of course, seeing Boeing was on the ‘Must-See’ section of the whole list.

‘If it ain’t Boeing - I’m not going!’ But there’s ’so much Boeing’ in Seattle and area around!

And the very next day we started from going to Everett where Boeing builds it’s famous ‘wide-bodies

This “widened’ 747 brings large componets of the Boeing’s wide-bodies from all over the world ‘DreamLifter’ hauls large parts of the Boeing-787 ‘Dreamliner’ from all over the world.

(to be continued..)
