I took it on today’s afternoon from a spot inside the Concourse D by the Gate 33, as we were anxiously waiting for a Horizon Air Flight 2233 final call.
Soon it became obvious there’s no chance to get on this flight as the ’stand-by travelers’, - it was totally packed, so we left the air side, listed ourselves for an early morning flight, and went back home.
Attempt #1 failed.
That’s fine, tomorrow’s loads on Seattle flights are going to be lighter a little bit, and hopefully we’ll make it to the place.
Yeah, it is a kind of ‘back side’ that the ‘flying on a budget’ through the interline agreements has. I.e., there’s always a chance to ‘get bumped’ if all seats are occupied by revenue passengers. Well, we used that sort of travel before, and it worked just fine.
However, good for Horizon guys, their planes are flying full.
Looking forward to having travel experiences with them
Anyway, what are we going to do in Seattle?
Of course, the Boeing tour is on a list, but I’m thinking about going to a couple of other, - smaller (way-way smaller!
aircraft manufacturers’ places also located in the West Coast.
CubCrafters are located in Yakima, WA.
The Glasair’s location is even closer - just North of Seattle, in Arlington.
But no less intriguing is going to be a visit to Bill Shepherd who kindly agreed to show us his Yak-11!
So, the trip is going to be a fun.

Nonrev flying is always fun. I’ve had my travel plans changed a few times during nonrev adventures

Hey, Derin,
Yeah, true.
However, it worked nice for us on our way back. No bumps on the road
