Just a quick notice that should be put in with regard to Black Sea and what’s going on down there: a Black Sea resort town of Gelendjik is hosting an airshow which is known as ‘Gelendjik Hydro Aviation Salon‘.

They run in once in every two years, in the early days of September, and the next one is going to be in 2008.

Gelendjik Harbor is a nearly perfect stage for this kind of show, for it is formed like a natural amphitheater.

People swimming, sun-bathing, and watching planes roaring over their heads.

I visited show two times, and it was fun to be there. It may sound incredible, but Gelendjik was exactly the place where one of my greatest acquaintances started, and as it turned later, this ‘connection’ played a key role in securing an interview with.. WestJet.

Of course, you’ll see some interesting stuff flying, and on the ground display. We should organize an expedition to check it out. How about going as a party of ‘RA-85123 Fan Club’ ?
