Sukhoi SuperJet 100-95 was rolled out at Komsomolsk-on-Amur aircraft manufacturing plant on September, 26th. It seems, a pretty viable project is developing in the `background of the globe`:)
Sukhoi is a world known name for creation of combat aircraft and top-notch aerobatic planes.
We expect a few images from the place to come soon.
Sure thing, when it comes to ‘club member obligations’, no matter what kind of club one cares about, - as a true ‘aficionado’ he or she would normally keep a collection of items reflecting their respective devotion to the ‘idol’
- either a poster, or a piece of cloth - if you lucky enough to get one. Anything in fact would do, and ‘the sky is only the limit’ for your imagination in that case .
Speaking of the airplane lovers’ fetishes, the most appropriate kind of item would be a good scale model. Let’s talk then about providing our ‘RA-85123 Fan Club‘ members with a decent ‘figurine of Herself’, the Tu-154, registered as RA-85123.
A recent RA-85123 sighting
De-mythology, Freedom of Choice, Clash, People, RA-85123 Fan Club 2 Comments »Hello, my dear ‘RA-85123 Fan Club’ members,
It is a pleasure for me to inform you that we’ve just got a new image from Russia showing our ‘idol plane’ RA-85123.
It was spotted at Adler, - an airport servicing the Black Sea resort of Sochi - the would-be host town for the Winter Olympics-2014, by the way. And it was a job by Denis, a sure candidate for our club. Denis flies 737 for the second largest Russian carrier S7. He too flew Tu-154 before switching to Boeing. Read the rest of this entry »
It happens each and every year, and it usually goes for three days, and in these days we are having to deal with a list of ‘problems’. Although they are all ’simulated’, the level of stress they create as you work on them is fairly high. And, you would probably agree with a statement that ‘STRESS is always STRESS, it is kinda ‘always real’
This set of photos is dated to the last year’ ’shooting season’.
Once in a while I would go to work a little bit earlier than it’s necessary, and sometimes this tactic yields some noteworthy results. Actually, I’ve already accumulated quite a collection of interesting photos taken at such occasions. And there’s been an attempt to start a respective ’series’ made in this post.
Hey, Tristan,
remember, a question somehow popped up as we discussed the Helios Air accident, and it was with regard the ‘Passenger Oxygen On’ light. You asked, whether there’s such a light in the 737’s flight deck.
The answer was ‘Yes’, and here you can see it
See, the light is ON, but no worries - it is only because I had pressed it, - as we always do in order to check the bulbs in particular annunciators.
Way to Charlottetown. Flying by the Confederation Bridge

At last I’ve made a ‘debut flight’ to Charlottetown. I’ve heard about the place quite a bit - from fellow WJ pilots familiar with Atlantic Canada, from my Flickr contact ‘Mabel&Charlotte.
I also flew over, at around 40.000 feet, but never did a one trip ‘with landing’ at YYG.
And it happened yesterday!
