Another interesting unscheduled meeting: as we were getting together downstairs to check out from the Four Points hotel in Edmonton, I saw Shere and this gentleman, who happen to be her friend Len Krenzler. Len is an artist.
He works in an area of arts that is a little bit off the traditional road: he creates his pictures digitally, and then prints them in a desired format. He is also a big enthusiast of aviation, and it’s always been a main stream theme of his art work.
On that occasion Len met Shere to give her one of his prints, and it was a dedicated picture showing an episode of the Lancaster bomber ride.
As I told you before, Shere’s father, John Fraser, was a Lancaster gunman during WW II, and he flew on the ‘Dam Bust Ride’ mission. Interestingly, I’ve just ‘googled’ his name, and what I’ve got in response:
Certainly, a nice chat with Shere is warranted!
I’ll keep posting on this.

Thanks for the interesting link above. (Dambuster’s Daughter)
I read over the story of the Lancaster FM159 that I have seen in various states of disrepair over the years in the town of Nanton and now lovingly restored.
I dropped by there in August 2005 when they started up one of the engines on the day they unveiled a memorial to the WW2 bomber crews.

Hi Clashmaker:)
Wow…….your video has gone over well and I think we should do a sequel:) I’ve worked alot this summer and have enjoyed playing my flute to so many guests. I love seeing their smiles and surprise! Hope to see you one day soon.

Hi, Shere,
glad to hear from you,
Yes, you’ve done great - you should get all applauses and flowers! ) It’s so good of you to do this in front of an audience of WJ guests.
As for sequel… hmm, not a bad idea, you know.. I would love to make a new series of it. I’m learning how to do ‘video montage’ on my Mac, and I’ll let you know when I come up with something.
By the way, we recently had a guest on board who agreed to play his violin in the cabin! FAs encouraged him to do this, and all guests were happy.
Maybe, you, as a ‘role model’ (I showed them a video of you playing shortly before), ‘ignited a spark’, and they had thought: ‘Hey, let’s do it! We’ve got another performer on board!’
I’m looking forward to seeing you again too,
Thank you for visiting the spot, my Dear,
We’ll talk soon,
S.

Shere,
interesting.
But the only day and time I can do this is on Thursday, 23rd, until noon. How about that?
Bu the way, have you ever heard such a name: Bill Zuk?
See you,
S

Hi Clashmaker,
Plans have changed and I will not arrive into YYC until Friday now. We’ll have to try again some other time:)
Just want to let you know there is a big event at Nanton Lancaster Museum this weekend. They are honouring the Americans in the RCAF and I will be presenting the new painting, “Courage Beyond Fear”, to the museum. Check the website at the museum for more details.
Cheers,
Shere
