Green&White Clash in Discovery Ridge.

gw2.jpg It was not very exciting a gray morning today, but anyway,- at some moment of it I looked outside, and thought, ‘Gee, what’s wrong with the calender? Is that all right we’ve got the May 24th today? Or, am I still dreaming?’

I was not sure about the last one, so I decided to go out for a walk.

A bizzare decoration from a movie shooting scene: ’somebody’s forgotten to pain the rest of the trees!’

‘Holly!’ - the air was cold and fresh, and it didn’t take too long to get a nice and clear picture of the day: “We’ve got show!”

Fresh Snow Green&White

I started my routine path. All around was painted into a striking combination of White and Green. With a little addition of somewhat else..

A poplar grove Greenery under snow

Lovely look of the neighbourhood Picture from a fairy tale

If I could feel for them, I would probably tell how badly these poplars were ‘trembling and shivering’ under this coat on them

Poplars Coated trees

But our neighborhood has got a very nice ‘Christmas look’

May… yeah.. Like a movie decoraton set under the change from ‘Christmas’ to ’summer’ theme

I have a similar picture but taken in February. Or January I like this one

Home A look from the hill

These guys seemed to be ‘carrying as if normal’, but I don’t think they were really enjoying this onset of the winter.

A sudden onset of the winter put these creatures ‘on the edge’ Robins are numerous in our area

    A great photo essay.

And I have none of my own to show. The reason is that by a strange twist of fate, I was trapped inside a airplane cabin at Calgary Airport waiting for the de-icing crew to come around and do their work. You see, my wife and I chose May 24 to depart for a trip to Toronto, definitely not expecting to be delayed by a snowstorm!

I am sure you really enjoyed your outing knowing that you were missing the fun and games at the airport.

Anyway, we finally got on our way after about almost a two hour wait on the tarmac.

    OldDog,

    LOL:)

    Isn’t that hilarious?!
Yeah, that day I also thought of my ‘brothers and sisters’ in WestJet, how surprised they probably got when they came to work on that day. I don’t think they ‘got trapped’ though, but an onset of bad weather always impose an extra ‘trouble’ on the whole operation.

I remember I posted images taken during such a weather:

Hopefully you reached Toronto with not too much a delay (’two hours’, hmm, depends..) But you probably had some extra time to take pictures, eh :)?

    Take care,
