‘Second (to none)’ report from the road. .

I’m reckoning now that particularly for me ‘Writing in English’ is a most challenging part of this whole blogging endeavor. Lion’s share of the time is consumed by a mere ’sitting and writing’ (i.e., excruciatingly slow processing of ideas and putting them into reasonable English sentences.. thanks Heaven, this process doesn’t require a lot of ‘Russian-English translation’ any more. However, I wish some of you would understand Russian well:).
Easiest part of it - playing with toys.. Chris, the captain I flew with, has ordered the Mac through some Internet business too, and now anxiously looking forward to having it, and - playing with it.
So, as we were in cruise from Winnipeg to Montreal, I pulled mine out of the flight bag to show it to him, and to play with it a bit.
The flight itself was boringly uneventful, and the outside view was very dull - the overcast clouds below, and the blinding sun above..
And I had much more fun when we got to the hotel. Rooms in the Holiday Inn (Pointe-Claire Montreal Airport) have a cable Internet access, and after performing an ‘easy-breezy’ act of hooking the the Ethernet cable to the Mac, you are getting the whole world in a relatively tiny confinement of your dwelling.
And we started a cheerful chat..
.. with Victoria..
..and with Mark.
He told me a couple of things, such as what would be the ‘hot key’ combinations for making the screen pictures. And I tried them immediately.
When I talked to Victoria I put the computer down on a low banket, and pointed it at the window. So, she could see the hotel’s surroundings outside.
That’s what she saw (I took this picture on my Cannon, though)
Technology, technology..
It is progressing at the mind boggling pace. What it is all about? For a convenience of advising her ‘which kind of ‘Borsh’ I would like to have when I get back home? (Yeah, we decided we’d have a ‘Green Borsh’. And she went so enthusiastic, that she was not quite far from the point to start a ‘demo’ of how to cook it, and what do we have in our fridge for it.. All through the Skype video..
OK, let’s figure it out (about the technology) through the use of it. No matter what the language is..
Cheers,
Clash
